Vincent John Green was born on 11 July 1829 in the district of Clerkenwell, probably in Long Lane, since this was where the family was living when he was baptised at St Andrew Church, Holborn on 4 August 1829. By April 1851 the family had moved to Great Arthur Street, St Lukes. On the 19 November 1855 Vincent married Annie Vincent at St Barnabus Church in St Lukes. Vincent was a bookbinder, and was living at 20 Woodbridge Street, Clerkenwell. On the 12 August 1856 their first son, Vincent John Green was born at 12 Northhampton Street, Clerkenwell. Their daughters: Lavina, born 7 July 1860; Florence, born 18 January 1862; and Kate, born 7 January 1864, all in Islington, were baptised at St Andrew, Holborn on the 15 December 1868. Their next two children were: George, born circa 1866 in St Lukes; and Ida, born circa 1868, also in St Lukes. Their Youngest son Ernest Harold Green was born on 17 January 1871 and was baptised at St Andrew, Holborn on the 28 February 1871. At this time the family was living at 40a Liquorpond Street. On 5 August 1872, the family was living at Palmerston Buildings, St Lukes; and on 29 August 1877, the family was living at 21 Gloucester Street, Clerkenwell. Two years later, on the 9 November 1879, Vincent John Green died of salmonela Poisoning at the Great Northern Hospital. Prior to his death, he had been living at 9 Pullteney Terrace.
