Elizabeth Jones nee Thomas was born on 26 August 1874 in Well Street, Nefyn, Carnavonshire. In 1881 she was staying with her grandparents at Fron Oleu, Morfa Nefyn, whilst her parents and siblings we stayin onboard the vessel Miss Wandless. In 1891 she was staying with he mother and siblins at Penycraig (also known as Craig y Llan) in Church Street, Nefyn. On 17 April 1897 in the Register Office in Pwllheli, Elizabeth, then known as Eliza, married Robert Jones from Pwllheli. After their marriage, they lived at 1 Back Carnarvon Road, Pwllheli. Robert and Eliza had five children. Their second eldest, Catherine Jones, was born on 17 April 1899 in Well Street, Nefyn - the same street as Elizabeth - The significance of Well Street is not known.

The family later moved south to Abercynon, Glamorgan. The date they moved is not know but is believed that Catherine Jones had completed her schooling in Pwllheli. In Abercynon they live at 46 Aberdare Road.

Elizabeth died on 12 August 1948 aged 73.
